    AWESOME!!! I have perused Google Images time and time again and haven't seen all but one of the photos in which you discovered, Colin.

    Yep, HRH's doublet is definitely green!

    The more that I see HRH Prince Charles' Balmoral doublet, the more I really like it. I believe that if you are a relatively fit and trim guy the majority of the time and throughout your life, just as HRH has been and still is, this would be an ideal, go-to doublet for black tie occasions where Highland dress is worn. I have never seen photos of the reverse side of the doublet. I'm quite fond of the length of the flaps, or "tashes" below the leather belt - not too long and not too short and stubby - I think they're just right. I also like how there are no buttons on the cuffs of this particular style of evening doublet, though I think it would still look smart with the addition of buttons in some sort of a traditional arrangement. I am curious about the buttons and would love to see a detailed image of them, if that even exists.
