How Many Kilts for Vacation?

Sorry @creagdhubh , I have to disagree slightly. Yes, wool breathes, but there is a big difference in comfort in the Florida heat and humidity between an 8 yard tank of 16oz wool and a USA casual kilt in 13 oz PV. The heaviness of the wool and the added amount of material = much warmer garment. I wore my XMarks tartan in 13oz merino wool last Sunday to church and was comfortable, but warmer than a PV. That kilt is also a box pleat 4 yarder, so very comparable to a USAK.



Just my 2 cents from living here.

And for the OP, when I travel for a full week, I usually wear 1 for travelling and pack 2 with me. Which specific ones depends on weather at destination, expected activities, and suitcase space, for both clothes and "accessories" if I have to attend a more formal function.

My thoughts exactly.... Although Kyle's point about the accessories is very true. Woolen kilt hose (and a wool jacket let alone a waist coat) in heat and high humidity are a killer.
