It seems to be the 'in thing' at the moment for celebrities to dress in such a manner.
To me however, he looks as if he is heading home after a spectacularly good night out, rather than heading to one. A look that is more 'Walk of Shame' than 'Walk down the red carpet'.

Precisely, Richard! My thoughts for what they're worth: "Mr. Tennant, you're a world class actor, dress like it." George Clooney, among other fine gentlemen of similar ilk, seem to understand this.

Agreed, George always dresses well.
To the best of my knowledge George has never worn a kilt. He's probably been advised not to, out of concern for the health of any ladies out there with weak hearts, as it would surely be a fatal combination!

I tend to be in the "clean up the beard" camp on this one.
I love Tennant's work as the Doctor and what other bits I've seen him in, but the beard in combination with the lack of tie and rather high jacket/low kilt kind of kills the look.
I guess he might have to keep the beard if he's in the middle of filming something, but in that case a wee bit more conventionality in the outfit might not go amiss.

Not impressed. Words like "scruffy" spring to mind and disrespectful to Ms Pike, so elegantly turned out. And if you are going to wear a beard, wear a beard, not "designer stubble".
A talented actor, though, he lets himself down.
Regards, Sav.

I like the way his buttons match his kilt , lack of vest goes with the just sleept in a hedge look , with missing tie and unbuttoned shirt ,awesome
