Now that I was all warm and fuzzy about wearing them, FedEx decided to deliver them to the wrong address, or else some kid picked it up off of my porch. (Wrong address is most likely as there is a similarly named street that has my house number). Hopefully FedEx can figure it out today, or I'm SOL. I will say that the company I ordered them from stepped up to FedEx's mistake and is shipping a replacement set free of charge, so worst case is I will have them for next time.

I had similar "tight timeline" concerns with the sporran, sashes & broaches I ordered for my wedding last August. The goods showed up with 4 days to spare, unfortunately the bill from Fed Ex for Customs and Tariffs showed up two weeks later :0

Once we have eradicated white hose, my hope is to start in on solid black ones. They look to me like "executive hose", i.e., the kind you wear with trousers so as to avoid showing your hairy shins. I don't wear them with trousers if I can avoid it, but I will go out of my way to avoid wearing solid black hose with a kilt. I vote for the claret or scarlet or ( if you must) charcoal or green. If you look half as good as Nile, you will look very good indeed. Good luck locating your medals.

My apologies for being late to the discussion, but when is the event? Perhaps, some of us in the immediate area could loan you a sporran or other for the event.

Perhaps late, however, in this opinion, your dolphins and patrol pin say it all. The GCM is icing.
Good on you, enjoy.

Here's one that was taken with my phone. I'm not happy because when I put my arm around Rainy, it put everything askew lol.

A very kind offer for which I thank you. I don't know that I would have been comfortable borrowing a high dress sporran though.

Well as a quick update after getting home, I first want to thank everyone for your input.
The people who received my awards shipment pulled up in front of my house as I was putting my bags in the truck and were heartily thanked for it. I was the sole submariner there, and noticed that the group hosting the event being primarily a medical research outfit, there were very few badges amongst the crowd. The fish were complemented by a corpsman senior chief who was sporting a silver star.
I went with the claret hose and green flashes. Here's a photo that I have from my phone in which pulling my honey in skewed my rig. Some others were taken which I'm waiting for them to be emailed to me. I will post the best of them when I get them. probably also in the THCD thread as well.

Again thank you everyone for your advice.
