    Thanks.

My bride to be does not mind what kilt i wear aslong as I like it.

So any suggestions on a tartan similar to Pride of Scotland, reason being i can have it made very cheap by a local kilt maker if i can get the wool but they want a crazy price for it. I was not set on Pride of Scotland so looking for something similar.

Again price is not an issue but I am not just wanting to throw money away if I can get it made FOC and just pay for the wool.

Not a fan of the Isle of Skye Tartan, its nice but not for me.

Have you checked out the Marton Mills range of tartans. It's very extensive (I'd recomend their heavyweight Jura cloth) and it is cheaper than some of the other mils. I'll whisper the fact that it's English made
The Kilt is my delight !

Most Kilt Shops have their own range of designs similar to Pride of Scotland, ours is the Bute Heather range. Bute Heather Modern uses the same colours as Pride of Scotland, and is probably our closest match.

Ok will have a look at them.

    Thanks

Might end up with the Pride of Scotland as I do like it but the Spirit of Bannockburn is very close to it aswell.

It’s a pity you are so set on that group of fashion tartans, Connor. I would repeat Jock’s advice (although it is a pity you don’t care for Isle of Skye), as well as my own in your welcome thread.
You could probably lay hands on a kilt in Edinburgh District tartan quite easily, although Earl of Inverness has considerable class. There are also a couple of designs called City of Edinburgh and one called Midlothian.
    Regards,
    Mike

Lochaber district tartan would also be a consideration and has a Inverness-shire connection and fairly easily obtained.
