My wife's family hail from SE Pennsylvania, also known as the Pennsylvania Dutch region.
She proudly wears the German Heritage Tartan designed by our own Rocky Roeger.

Skirt by Freedom Kilts.

I am pleased to say that Michele (who so far as we can tell has not drop one of Celtic blood) wears either my clan (Davidson) or Albannach, because she loves their music and thinks their tartan is cool.

My fiancée wears either the Maple Leaf or Chinese Scottish because she's a Chinese Canadian who is engaged to Scottish (mixed) Canadian. I recently bought her a billie kilt in Royal Stewart, which she will hopefully wear soon. I don't know if she would wear the standard version of my my clan tartan (MacQuarrie), but she has expressed interest in the tartan I designed, New World Irish.... it's a pity the latter is out of production and would now be a custom weave

My wife generally wears my Campbell of Cawdor, particularly to formal events. However, both sides of her family were Scottish and she has a strong connection to the MacEwan's. Not only will she wear clan MacEwan tartan, but I have a kilt on order from John Hart in MacEwan ancient.

Bridey's maiden name is McCombs and her mother's is Duncan. She has absolutely no interest in her heritage at all!
I on the other hand have to go back four generations on my mother's side to find the first Scottish surname and yet own five kilts.
Crazy, mixed-up world! Or family at least.

The Missus is a Keith, and wears it proudly. She'll also wear my Clark(e), Colquhoun, Crawford, Dalziel, Gray, and Stewart of Appin. Thinking of having a kilt done in ancient Keith soon.

My wife is a Burns , she wears Campbell and she has a Burns scarf. Last year I purchased her fabric for a Douglas arisaid in the weathered pallet.
