    Thumbs up

Norm I ditto much of what you have posted on this thread. I have a UT delux kilt and most times I get very positive comments too. I am new to kilt wearing and I am glad I have become weekend wearer. Just last night I had to meet contractors at work installing carpet and was wearing a Stumptown kilt and everything was thumbs up! Rarely do guys ever get a thumbs up from another guy especially the construction crowed. This summer I will embrace the kilt more. It is literally Cool and comfortable.

Well met Mike. I see you are new to posting here and kilt wearing around folks that don't know you yet. It is gratifying to get positive feedback from other men while kilted. You're right about the construction crowd in a way, but they are usually "manly men" and sexually secure without feeliing threatened. Welcome to the rabble from Oxford, MS.

I will echo that one. I got many thumb ups, the high fives, and the handshakes from the men when they saw me in the kilt. It's a bit odd feeling I'll give you that, but again, it's nice.

    Summer Jaunts

Been going all kinds of places in my utility kilt, from Wal Mart to the men's Bible study at our church fellowship and also going on walks with my wife. One lady pulled her truck over, got out and wanted to know where I got the utility kilt, that her husband was looking for one. I had a card from UT Kilts with me, so I gave that to her.... along with a Gospel tract . I have gotten a lot of compliments and questions. I figured if anyone asks me, "What are you wearing under there? I would answer "under where?".

Love wearing it everywhere... except to work. We have grated walk ways on our power boiler; not a good idea to have someone walking below you...

The only down side to a kilt is they do not work well in cold, windy weather - which describes the Show Low - Snowflake area where I live in winter.

    Cool Keeps getting better!

Well Norm since the last post I have acquired a Stump-town kilt and do not think I have warn a pair of shorts since. Kilts are a great conversation starter for sure. My home group serves the homeless once a month and they too are intrigued with the guy wearing a skirt! I do not wear it for attention but find myself talking to many more folks about all kinds of things. Another thing that has happened to me since wearing the kilt is gals wanting to get photos with the kilted guy. So far a very positive experience, but yet to wear it to church.

Nicely done, Norm. It is good to hear that you are finding it as comfortable to wear as it is comfortable to wear (if you know what I mean).

I, too have a khaki UT Kilt. It is a comfortable, well-designed garment and I have found it to be well accepted wherever I have worn it. It is one of my three go-to kilts and I wear all three quite often.

If you are too busy to laugh, you are too busy.
