A habit I picked up at "quilting bees" in the 1960's at my grandmother's home, was the oral accounts of family lines. My current clients (mostly ladies over 80 years old) are members of the DAR -Daughters of the American Revolution- where family connections are huge! Listening to the tales of families past, I would consider a tradition that, any ethnic group could claim. The migrations and hardships of our early folks lives on in memories and words.
