Interesting to think of. First one is always first: The Book and the Rose
Others would be:
Babette's Feast
Whisky Galore
Saving Private Ryan
Jonny English
There are others that could be in there too but not much different.

I love older films and find there are several older movies I just do not get tired of watching. In no particular order here they are
Casablanca (1942)
The Third Man (1949)
Tunes of Glory (1960)
Bridge on the River Kwai (1957)
A Christmas Carol/Scrooge (1950)
Great lists from everyone so far.

My faves
Apocalypto (Mel Gibson film about S. American Indians...great action)
The Patriot (another Mel Gibson film)
Wizard of Oz (the kid in me)
Quigley Down Under
Man of Steel
Zulu
#6 would be a combination of 007 movies, especially with Daniel Craig (but I still like to watch Sean Connery)
#7 might be The Ten Commandments, with Charelton Heston.
They're all different, I know, but I have varied interests. I just love movies

This thread is proving really useful to me. I just purchased a Kodi box which enables me to search for, essentially, any movie or TV show, and watch them for free. Now I have a great source of movies to check out.
Studies have shown that women who gain a few pounds live longer than men who mention it.

Beware Rick. Many of the films listed are epics and require dedication of time once you become vested in the plot or characters. I don't discourage anyone to study the list of films posted. I hope any of the ones you choose to watch will be worth the while for you.

My favorite five films....
Hmmm...
Here are five films I am willing to watch at anytime.
The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) Flynn at the top of his Game!
Eldorado (1966) Robert Mitchum steals every scene he is in, I did not know he was such a tremendous comic actor
The Princes Bride (1987) Movie Magic
North By Northwest (1959) Cary Grant!
Casablanca (1942) Just a perfect film
Runners Up
The Thing (from another World) (1951)
Night of the Demon (1957)
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)
Mysterious Island (1961)
I Know where I'm Going! (1945)
The Bishop's Wife (1947)
The Big Sleep (1946)
Roxanne (1987)
Much Ado About Nothing(2012)
Cheers
Jamie
