    Can you tell us where you are wearing the waist of your new kilt? All traditional kilts are designed to be worn at the natural or anatomical waist. This is actually far higher than anything a guy today has ever worn anything.



    The top strap in this photo is at the anatomical waist. Tn the back the top straps cinch into a hollow right under the ribs and above the "love handles". This is kidney level.
    Depending on the kilt the top of the kilt may go up, over the short ribs in back.

    In the front don't go by the naval. The naval is in different places on different guys. Use your bones, they don't move. The top of the kilt may be between 3 and 5 fingers below the bottom of your breastbone.

    This should allow the front apron to fall straight down from the stomach.

    If this is not working perhaps you could post a photo of you in your kilt.
