    Wow... they didn't work very hard coming up with the design for that New Zealand tartan.

    It's Wallace, already one of the simplest tartans, with one line removed, and done in grey-tones.

    I was expecting one of the overly-complicated made-by-committee modern tartans with all sorts of symbolic colours... say, a tartan divided into two main sections representing the North and South islands, with a stripe of blue in between, each half including colours representing aspects of each island.
