"Acceptable" can mean just about anything. And, Georgia can be very warm or quite chilly in October. A long skirt might be too hot to wear; then again, she might need a jacket of some sort, regardless of blouse choice.

When given a choice, most people will choose.

Initially, reading the title, I thought, since you're borrowing her skirt, just ask her which blouse to put with it. Then sanity
(I have no idea whose) kicked in and I opened it the thread to find the more mundane reality. Although, this being Atlanta,
you might be amazed how few looks you'd get. I've seen more than one man in a woman's kilt at Stone Mountain.
In agreement with advice above. Stone Mountain may blazing hot or quite cool. Or both in the same day. I wear tees,
mostly. Sometimes long sleeves to the games on Saturday, but usually regret it.

I do appreciate the helpful comments.
I think the t-shirt look would be silly on her.
I posted in the womens section.
How anyone would imagine a man, unknown to them as cross dressing is rather disturbing.
The long range weather forcasts are funny. I live in the south.
In all seriousness, the style was what I was asking about.
Todds photos were helpfull.
Thank you.

Interesting question.
- I don't really wear shirts/blouses as they don't sit well on me.
My best suggestion is something plain in style, in a toning colour.
Therefore something that suits her figure (she'll know)
- There are some nice wrap/surplice style tops that would look lovely with a hostess length.
- Our Highland Games are often hot and I find a singlet top suitable with a cotton cardigan or bolero as Anne suggested if needed. It can be dressy or casual depending on the style
-Whilst chunky boots may not be "correct" they are practical depending on the terrain and won't really be seen. (I wear Doc's under my long skirt)
- Most women know what style and cut suits them on their upper body so use her knowledge.

All appropriate apologies offered. I came to this by "Today's Posts", not the forum, so didn't see and was not thinking
"Women's Section", nor was I thinking crossdressing. Just the flow and play of words. The guys at the games in kilts
made for women were unaware there was a difference, having found them in thrift shops.
Will be good to meet both of you at the games. We have a pre-games get-together at the Tavern in Conyers not far
time wise from the games, please consider joining us if you'll be here Friday night.

We will not arrive until Sat.
Daughter is Drum Major for highschool band.
Friday night HS football is a big deal.
Elliotts aren't usually the most numerous clan at the games.
Please do say hello.

Having played not that far north of you in south Georgia, I absolutely agree about Friday nights. Also know
Drum Major is a big deal, too. We'll miss you, but will know you're having fun.
We typically meet up at the Tartan Museum tent for an X Marks meet, greet, and photo op; please join us
and we'll all say hello in person.
