    The Liverpool Scots sporran can’t be mistaken for Cameron or QOHighrs, not even remotely close. I am glad you received a solid answer from the museum, they are the foremost uniform authority on the Highlanders and the antecedent regiments (except the Gordons). There is a possibility that the sporran could belong to one of the commonwealth regiments allied with the Camerons or QOHldrs, always an avenue worth looking at.

    Worth a try

    That did occur to me and I looked all the Canadian regiments I could think of. I’ll look into that further for countries I haven’t yet researched. Thanks.
