I found this photo, marked as 13th (Fife/Perthshire) Rifle Volunteers, 1860. It Looks as the same unifrom.

In the "Records of the Scottish Volunteer Force 1859-1908" by M-G J.M.Grierson (1909) their uniform described as — dark grey doublets with scarlet facings, Macdonald tartan kilts, plain glengarries, and black belts.
But I am not sure that it's Macdonald of Ardnamurchan on the photo.
Question - what kind of MacDonald tartan? For me this tartan looks like Macdonald dress.
