It's a nice looking and distinctive sporran, Scottish-made, so the price fits IMHO.

Was VERY interested in that one. Tried to message the seller and ask who the maker was, but there was no submit/send button in the message window and it would not scroll. While I was doinking around with that it got gone.

The thing is, WE Scott has, as far as I know, never stamped their name on their sporrans.

I do wonder why! They've been around for ages and have long been one of the biggest if not the biggest maker in Scotland.

Happily for a long time they used a distinctive tab shape and the gold oval Made In Scotland Real Leather stamp.

At some fairly recent point they stopped stamping their sporrans at all, instead putting a sticker on the back which often falls off.

WE Scott did stamp the names of certain retailers on the back.

All this means that sellers selling WE Scott sporrans never know the maker, at least I don't think I've ever come across an Ebay or Etsy seller astute enough to distinguish a WE Scott sporran from other makers.

They might know the retailer if that's stamped on the back. It's why you see sporrans often listed as being made by firms who didn't make sporrans. Sometimes these firms made other things like kilts and jackets, sometimes they were purely retailers.
