What leather?

The listing for this sporrans was unsure of the fur, it has dappled spots. The lister thought possibly coyote. Ang thoughts? Coyote does not seem to be a common option. Seems quite nice, though, I would have preferred black leather. No idea if changing the leather is an option.

Given the age and Scottish production it's probably seal-skin.
There were no black leather sporrans at that date.

You commented considering the age, how old do you think it is? I am pleasantly surprised that it might be seal, but I did comment that it seems to be quite nice showing just a bit of wear.
