Newer WE Scott EW2 seal Evening sporran £35

Note the crisp detail in the cantle. So many cantles we see nowadays are Pakistani re-casts it's nice to get reminded what they're supposed to look like.

Newer WE Scott "hunting" sporran, here the original kind (no cantle) but in black £25

That hunting sporran is exactly what I've been looking for for a while now... almost. I'm wanting brown. I came back just now to pull the trigger anyway, but it's already gone, and the seal is too.

Oh well, you snooze you lose. At least I don't have to feel bad about "settling" for black.

    I'm with you there.

A few years ago I was selling a sporran just like that but in the ginger/rust leather.

A band-mate bought it from me.

At next rehearsal he informed me that he had painted it black.

I bought it, but I didn't want to say anything until it was in my hands, because I didn't want to jinx it.

I've been wanting that cantle for a while now. It's my favorite WE Scott cantle. I almost bought the piper's sporran from earlier, because the cantle is similar. I'm glad I resisted the temptation, because if I had bought the piper's sporran, I didn't think I could have justified buying this one.

    Thanks OC Richard!
