There are a couple of grouches here, but for the most part what we have is folks trying to help one another look smart and fit into various venues.
Stay, watch and learn, and you may come to enjoy.

I can stay cautiously, I don’t have much time in my life for negativity and condescension. So we’ll see how it goes

I'm saddened to hear you felt disrespected. I don't believe that was OC Richard's intention at all. He's quite the traditionalist, and I think he was simply sharing his personal preferences. It's not that YOU're the type of person to wear acrylic kilts and pirate shirts. But looking at Kommando Kilt's website, THEY sell acrylic kilts, pirate shirts, and "fussy" sporrans. Which unsurprisingly, isn't OC Richard's cup of tea.
For what it's worth, I'm intrigued by the sporran design, and your post prompted me to pick one up I found on eBay. I don't know if I'll be keeping it or passing it on, but I want a closer look.
P.S. To anyone reading this who enjoys acrylic kilts and puffy shirts, I personally encourage you to continue enjoying them. From my perspective, the more the merrier. And sometimes that's the beginning to taking an increased interest in traditional Highland wear (or not!). But, I also GREATLY appreciate the traditionalists helping me to understand what is proper and historical, versus what is Hollywood.

I go to a lot of renfaires and Highland Games, so I definitely appreciate the extra space the super sporran has for keys, wallet, and cellphone. I’ll post a review this weekend after I’ve picked it up, along with the kilt belt and kilt pin

~$36.77 ($28.78 + $7.99 shipping) black leather sporran, in the US. The tassels and finishing look too high quality to be Pakistani to my eyes, but perhaps OC Richard can confirm.

You don't need to have thick skin to hang out here but you can't have thin skin either.
Let's remember what this thread is about: OCR searches ebay for sporrans that are listed for a good price and then shares that info (not just the link to the auction but also any knowledge he has regarding the sporran or maker) with us. And many of us here (me included) have benefitted from his knowledge and generosity. He has probably saved more than one of us from making a bad purchase. He has another thread for bagpipes that serves the same purpose (which could be a much more costly mistake).
When your sporran does arrive, I kindly suggest that you post the pics in a new thread and preserve this thread for it's intended purpose. That being said, welcome aboard.
