And here I thought we'd said good-bye to the penny in US currency…
I'll look into making a pilgrimage next year. It looks a bit more elaborate than our games in Las Vegas.
I'm wondering, given the location of the venue, whether comparative Scotch whisky tasting is missing as one of the popular events.

I don't consume alcohol, so I can't attest to the quality. But they did have whiskey tasting for $25/person.

I'm afraid I've only attended Utah based Scottish Festivals, so I can't compare with other states.
Even if I had, I still couldn't make much of a comparison, because most of my time is spent monitoring and meeting the needs of kids who constantly alternate between hungry / thirsty / tired / bored / hot / don't need the restroom / oops, NOW I need the restroom / he touched me / she hit me / he's looking at me / she's breathing my air.
Not to mention my least favorite, "Dad will you buy this crappy Chinese/Pakistani import item from this overpriced vendor for me?"
But I still enjoy myself (and my little ones) 😊🏴

the Chicago Scots games last week (Wheaton IL) featured the Inverary & District Pipe Band as one of the competitors (current World Champions) so I pity the other bands they were up against
not sure what they were charging for the Whiskey tastings since I spent most of the day in the Clan area (and a few of the Clans were good about keeping me from a terminal case of thirst)

Sounds like a whisky tasting is just what you need!
