    Livingston, Welcome!! Best source on the net for information about kilt wearing. As for kilts in the office, check out this thread. Also, get an official copy of your company's dress code, not just what you think it is. If the dress code allows skirts for women, which most do unless their is a safety reason, then it would be very difficult for them to legally stop you from wearing a kilt. Now, if you work in a smaller company, you might get more intimidation than you feel is worth taking, but in a company of any size, HR is going to be very leery of preventing you from wearing one, especially if you work it from the cultural heritage angle. PM me if you have any questions or want to discuss my own experiences. Riverkilt could give you feedback for a smaller organization, and I think it is closer to public sector than where I work.

    Even if you don't get to wear the kilt to work on a regular basis, there are occassions like National Tartan Day and the like. The company will have a hard time arguing against a National Proclamation.
