It's a bit of a drive for me...but hey I've been known to drive down to Philly for a beer.
Depends on how many kilts I get made this week.
Thanks for the directions possingk....
Robert your killing me! A kilt night, close to my hometown (Rochester), lots of tall guys (nothing gay intended, just would be impressive), and one of my friendly kiltmakers in attendance! Hmmmh, need to check on flights from Chicago to.... Oh damn, the company Xmas party is next Friday! And I can not miss that, too many women in the office are looking forward to me in my kilt and argyll jacket. Shirt, flashes, hoses, and shoes still up in the air depending on the kilt I wear, Scottish National wool blend or USAK Semi-trad Black Watch. Anybody have any suggestions?
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long

Huh ... at six foot I'll be the shortest guy there. Look for the guy in the Robertson Red - I'm sorta nondescript otherwise, so Millar's and KCW's advice is actually dead on in my case ...

Actually, at 5'7", I'll be the shortest. And since it's Buffalo, at 220 lbs, I'll be the thinnest, too!
At least I'll have the shaved head to help me fit in ... That and the MacPherson, or the Black Watch ... haven't decided yet.
So we're going casual, and skipping the dinner. At least I'll pick up some appetizers.

Two kilt makers in one place
MacHummel it would be great to see you, I would love to get some more information on your kilts.
If either you or Canuck need more information let me know, I will also PM you both my cell phone number in case you get lost or something. My wife worked in (and for) the city for some time so she should be able to help with any problems.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.

So how about that report? I'm thinking of wearing the kilt around town ... maybe to the downtown mall. How do you think it will go over?

Not bad
I didn't go out in South Buffalo much while I was there. I did go to the movies, TGI Fridays near Eastern Hills mall, and Jack Astor's a few questions, lots of you must be cold, but other than that it wasn't a real big event. I won't worry much about it. Just know who the Bills play and if things get heated say go Bills that will calm anyone down this week. (They play Miami this week) I had one guy call it a skirt, and asked why I told him it was a kilt and it was comfortable. He seemed to accept that.

Starting month #9 being kilted full-time, and no problems yet in the towns of Grand Island or Niagara. Just watch out for randy high school cheerleaders if it's a windy day.

This is going to be a great weekend...
U2 concert Friday night kilted, and then a kilt night in the pub on Saturday...
I may need a few days off to recuperate...
