greetings all
Here is a pic from last nighst NYC Kilters night out
sorry that its a bit grainy - i took it with my cell phone as i forgot to bring my real camera with me.
more will be posted later today when the guy who DID remember to bring his camera wakes up and sends them along. I will post links asap.

From the look on more than a few peoples faces as we strode down 8th ave (what is it about weearing a kilt that makes you stride i wonder), i think many others had the same feeling - 6 burly guys in Kilts, black army boots & black coats .... was a lotta fun
little did they know we had been comparing hemlines, pleat depths and fabric contents just a few minutes before

Welcome to the strider from the Big Apple. Actually, I don't think there is a suitable alternative to striding in a kilt - anything else would just look weird!

Hey Ian,
according to the wearer - not me - i was taking the pic- its a GUNN PLAID which he has had for about 15 years -bought in the mother land - still looks great!!!
I had on a khaki utilikilt - am in the midst of making my first traditional styled kilt - will post pics as soon as i get it done!

I thought that was Gunn! 
My Gunn tank is, well, built like a tank; so I am sure it will be looking good in 10 more years. I just hope I can still fit into it in 10 years. Marriage and desk jobs are making my kilts shrink.
