Hm. Interesting. I wonder why that is? It can't be that it's a government town: I'm from Ottawa, and there are no real hats in sight. And the only hats you see around here are skateboarders' covers, baseball caps, and toques. I think I'll get a nice one and show them what's what.

I have a Toque that is a great winter hat 100% wool and is extremly warm but I usually wear it when I am X-country skiing. Do take it off when indoors.

Hey, don't get me wrong. Toques are fine in the cold. But in April?

UmAnOnion: That is without a doubt the most hideous toque I have ever seen!
Oh, and as an odd aside, toques with brims seem to be in fashion right now. Think Radar from M*A*S*H:

Yup. They call them "jeep caps"; I've got one myself. To me, a hat without some kind of shade for the eyes just doesn't make sense. - 'course, with this hair, shading my eyes from the sun, or rain for that matter, is rarely a problem.

hmm...I think I'll stick with my Aussie oilskin hat. I've always been one for function over fashion.
