Blu that is too funny. Did you use the tone of voice like you were explaining something to a small child also? I guess the girl didn't appreciate her scruffy man getting shot down that way. Thanks for sharing that.

It was a "I know you know better" tone of voice... slightly condescending but with a friendly tone to it.

This denim clad couple looked like they had "history" and weren't particularly enjoying what they were doing anyway.

I'm not always so quick to respond... but I was thinking after the fact that my retort would work on just about anybody regardless of age or gender.

Nice response, I'll have to remember that one. I don't know that I've ever gotten skirt comments from strangers unless they say it under their breath. Most of the skirt comments I get are from Irish friends and we just laugh them off.
