yip, thats the style with the young dudes, obviously they think it is so sexy, but as you know young guys can get away with wearing anything.

but if you look at young dudes who wear the kilt you will see that the kilt hangs well below the knees accompanied by thick socks at ankle length and timberland boots ( the informal look).

so lets not criticise their dress sense because at least in Scotland they are making the kilt more fashionable.

Yep... credit where it's due.

For young guys around here, it's all baggy "rapper / skater" type blue jeans. The tight hipster cut jeans are the domain of young women.

While I do wear the kilt with boots and scrunched socks, the bottom selvedge hits somewhere between the top of the kneecap and bisecting the kneecap.

Any longer than that, and I agree with J. Charles Thompson's assessment: "Trollopy."

It just looks wrong to me.

Oh, and while my brown boots are Timberlands, my black boots are Bates Enforcers. They go well with the black nylon Nightstalker sporran.
