    I think there's an interesting lesson for the ladies there, too. How many times have you heard them complain that it's too cold for a skirt? Well, perhaps the (relative) cheapness and flimsiness of most women's skirts compare to a handmade kilt is the real problem!

    Makes me feel somewhat better at the cost of even a "cheap" kilt, actually...

    True but I haven't seen many women wearing wool kilt hose either.
