Scotexan, in a pinch the cassette tape case makes a nifty ice scraper for the windshield. Do not use boiling water, saw a guy do that on his BMW. Oh well if he can afford a beemer, he can afford a new windshield (CRACK)!

A CD case works nicely too.

One of our reps has been without electricity since yesterday morning in the same area. We're used to that stuff up here but you guys down there..... Not good to say the least.
Of course, we have 30 and 20% chance of snow this weekend...that will make the 5th straight week of snow at the end of the week.

Texas drivers on ice? Not fun at all. Stay safe and warm.

Yeah, but Greg, look at it this way, at least you're not moving this weekend like I am!

We had an ice storm in upstate NY this week with about 1/4" accumulating on the cars. When I was in NC we used to get at least one ice storm each winter. The best story to come from that was when my boss's little sons decided to surprise their father by clearing all of the ice off of his Mercedes Benz. They took a hammer to the hood and roof to break off the ice! It was great because I really didn't like the guy and he was kind of anal retentive about his cars.
Just stay off the roads because I'm sure there are no salt trucks wandering around Texas.

Fellas,
We're on our sixth day with no power here in Springfield; There are still about 20,000 of us here in town, and many, many more in the rural areas with no power or water. The situation is getting worse by the day, and now the weather folks are calling for 3-6 inches of snow this weekend.
