    Carolina X Markers

    IT IS SNOWING!!!

And now it is icing. But at around 5 am, the snow was beautiful.

I was just out in the ice and snow with my dog so she could take care of her doggie business, and in moments I was ice incrusted. My dreadlocks are still mostly chunks of ice. My beard turned white and frozen. It is kinda weird, even after living with my locks for a couple of years now, I am still suprised by their effects. When I first went out and my head got wet, I was cold. Once my locks iced over and formed a shell, well, I don't know of any other way to describe it, but once they iced over and got all hard my head became so warm that it started getting a touch uncomfortable for me. My wife noticed it too once hers froze over.

My wife says I look kinda secksay when I do the abominable snowman thing.

There is another storm bearing down on us and it should be here tonight, dumping even more freezing rain and ice. I hope the power doesn't go out.

I keep meaning to make one for me... But the wool costs money. I gotta sell what I make. Or I don't eat.

We have about two inches. It keeps changing between snow and sleet. Those huge white flakes look beautiful falling! But its cold and WET.

We just have had hours and hours of sleat with shorts bursts of the flaky stuff. Just NASTY!!!!

Amazing what difference 30 miles can make. Ya'll have the fun stuff. I just get the slick, tretcherous stuff.

    I am SO JEALOUS!!!!!

(for those in other parts of the world . . . we don't get ANY snow often, so we REALLY enjoy it!)

Well here I sit in my empty classroom watching it NOT snow or ice or sleet or even rain. Bone dry. I'm not complaining as I have lots of filing and cleaning to do in my classroom.

And today is my wife's birthday.
