I'm not clear on this single/double width business, but I know I need 9 yards to make a knife-pleated tank to fit me.
If I order 9 yards of double-width, I assume that this would mean that I could cut it into three kilt lengths, one of 9 yards and two of 4.5 yards?
Or is there some splice and dice arrangment going on here where if two people each order 4 yards of double width, they get it delivered as 8 yards of single width each?
Best regards
the fabric is only made double width....if you really need nine linear yards to go around you, then just order 4.5 or 5 yards. Your kilt maker will be the one doing the slicing and dicing.
