    Where to start...

Venturing leader (the co-ed scouting program for 14 - 20 year olds - we're going to crew a tall ship in the Florida Keys for a week next summer!), motorcycle riding, search and rescue (urban and wilderness), contra dancing, travelling to the Bay Area (to see my sweetie), hiking/camping, dutch oven cooking/baking (outdoors), pistol instruction (NRA basic handgun, handgun qualification, and bullseye qualification), reading, watching movies, photography, and part-time entrepreneur.

I spend way too much time following horse racing and have even owned a few thoroughbreds in partnerships. We currently have a 3 year old filly who is getting ready to make her first start in May or June after having some medical problems as a 2 year old. I don't remember the exact wording but there is a quote that a man can never die with a promising two year old in the barn and The Kentucky Derby less than a year away.

Only if you add multiperson pantheistic solipsism.

They are a lot of fun Cloves And just like kilts, once you you try them you do not turn around. Granted, Vespas are expensive. But there are others.

I collect and run model trains.
I'm a part-time volunteer at my local airport where I help run the Aviation Museum and also fly from there as a private pilot.
I collect kilts and kilt accessories.
    Three very expensive hobbies.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.

You can only go straight? Sheesh! All that money for such a limited conveyance...

Blacksmithing in my main hobby. And though that in and of itself isn't all that odd (there are a lot of artist blacksmiths in the US), the projects I do are. Mostly small stuff, but I'm currently working on a medieval clock, entirely from scratch. My friends in my alma mater's art department think I'm nuts, for that, the armour I've made, and my insitence on not using modern techniques to get the job done. The clock's really chewing up my hands, sharp teeth on the gears and all. I usually don't wear gloves.
An uair a théid an gobhainn air bhathal 'se is feàrr a bhi réidh ris.
(When the smith gets wildly excited, 'tis best to agree with him.)
