    OK, mine are about 16 1/2" at the point where I wear the garters (so close to 17" with the hose).

    (I wonder if there's a correlation between calf size and neck size...)

    Steve Reeves (old time bodybuilder, actor) said that for proper symmetry the calves, neck and biceps should be the same size.

    Just posted on the general topic forum about changing my tire kilted today. Forgot to mention I had on Lewis hose and them new garter dealies...both held up well - particularly the garter dealies - and I spent a LOT of time down on the ground manuevering various parts into place.

    I'm even more impressed. These garter thingies ain't no namby pamby product...they work well in action too.
