I noticed people with a not so "bourgeois" fashion taste...like: punks, goths, bikers and even skinheads...are often very kilt friendly.

They're "different"...well...so are we

I found found that biker types are very friendly to the kilt. Perhaps it's because they are secure enough in themselves to be different from the rest of society that they respect others that are as well.

bikers are good people and as for being comfortable in wearing a kilt if I may take a verse from Kilted Warrior Big Mikey

How about wearing my kilt whilst taking my son to the park to play? I passed several groups of little girls who would giggle hysterically, and say; "Look! That guy is wearing a skirt!" And giggle some more. It was actually quite funny, but it's hard to offend me, too.

I agree too, I imagine the look would be very cool with bikers, but I don't want to detract from or diminish the fact that it still takes coblers!

I'll bet some of them wished they had what it takes to wear a kilt.

I have been nervous about wearing it out in public. After reading a thread regarding various types of 'lifting' I was not comforted.

I am not really concerned about how people judge me (if it weren't for leg tattoos I would wear it to my government office job), just modesty and fear of exposure.

I generally have been wearing boxers as i get accustomed to the feel of the kilt. I must say that my Utilikilt is a tish too short for my fat behind, and the dressier kilt I made for myself is much more comfortable for my shy self.
