Again, my thanks to VisitScotland for their investigation into this matter and taking the time to visit this forum and Ferintosh and make the apologies in person.
I have been trying to live up to my promise of sending "thank you" e-mails to those I originally complained to but now they are bouncing back to me.

a final update for you all...
a few days ago...
I finally got the apology from Kerr...
I have stopped into the tourist office many times in the last month or so...
and I finally caught him behind the desk a few days ago...
he apologised... simple- direct apology.
I am satisfied with that.
side note- if I was his boss- he would have been fired.... I am amazed VisitScotland would want him representing them to the public.
ah well...
hopefully, this is the end of this nonsense...

All's well that ends well. At least he was man enough to finally apologise.

OK, now my curiosity is truly piqued...P1M, of what subject were you a professor. And tenured at that?!? VERY cool.
How did you come to move to Scotland? Any advice for people regarding that type of move in the future?

This matter seems to have come to a conclusion, so let's wrap this up so it is not ressurected in 18 months by accident.
