I love my SWK Green Heavyweight. Make sure to pick up green flashes as well as hose when you do. Have you thought about maybe having a regular jacket converted to a kilt jacket by a tailor? I don't know what it costs to rent one but for $40 - $90 you can have an argyle style of your own.

Don't forget to budget for a sporran belt, kilt belt, and sporran.

See my "totally unfair comparison" thread to get a closer look at the sportkilt. It would not do for a wedding.

Well, I wore my SK Works in Loch Ness to our Scottish Rite dinner and tour, and no one would have noticed that it was not an expensive kilt. My jacket/belt, covered the elastic back.

That being said, and the owner of four SKs and one standard SWK; I'd recommend for your purpose, the SWK standard or heavy weight wool. If you like solid-looking black, try the wool black shadow. Grant (CCGA) has one; it looks and feels great. After my CCK Maple Leaf, the SWK Black Shadow is next on my list.

I think the SWK HW in any color is probably the best deal anywhere. they only come in one lengh so a little hemming my be in order, no big deal though, put on Boondock Saints and was done and repressed by the time the credits rolled. I had to stop and watch the bit with the rope though. If you have a jacket already I will tailer it for you and call it an early wedding gift. Just shot me a PM.
