Need advice:Sport kilt –vs- Still Water standard weight

Hey guys I need some help here. I am looking to get a new kilt for attending some weddings this summer. I need one kinda quick and affordably. I am thinking of getting either a Sport kilt with the works or a Still Water standard weight.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Which has the best swing, not too hot in summer, which in general looks most traditional?

    Thanks all,
    Sean

Standard Sport kilts are great..for what they are intended for....casual sportwear, highland games, apre sports, kicking around in, etc.
Stillwater dress up much better! Very Comparable in price too.

Go with a Still Water, i have a standard in Black Watch, comfortable in this early summer, and i received it VERY fast, great quality and has a more traditional look IMHO.

I am a fan of SportKilts, but they're definitely not for dress wear. Go with the Stillwater

Those who own the still waters is their a noticeable difference between the standard and the heavyweight wool? I really want the heavyweight wool Saffron, but they do not have my size and they are not sure when they will have more?

I owned a standard weight stillwater Black Stewart and gave it to my nephew. I currently own 3 heavyweight wool kilts from them. For me, I much prefer the wool. It just hangs better and breathes a lot better.

I currently own 4 kilts, 3 of them are Stillwater, the other is a Sportkilt. I would reccomend for a somewhat dressy occassion the Stillwater. Mine are all the standard weight.

I have a "the works" from SportKilt, and am quite fond of it. However, it has to be admitted that it is in no way traditional, and if that's what you want, you may want to go with the Stillwater, instead.

I'll echo the others in saying that the Stillwater Kilt will dress up much much better. And, as to your question about the heavyweight wool option versus the standard. I would, without question, take the wool kilt. The price is ridiculously low for what you get. If there's something in the SWK wool range that interests (and fits) I say go for that. I had one of the standard kilts, and just really did not care for it. It could have served well for events and such. But, for what I wanted, I just didn't like the acrylic fabric of it.
