Not sure if it applies to you too, but I know for me, it seems I have to groove in my size with each kiltmaker.

We talk about the difference in measuring for a kilt from measuring for pants.

I've found I need to do that for each kiltmaker. Its a joy to be measured in person by a custom kiltmaker. Then they do the work.

When ordering a custom kilt on line its usually taken me some tweaking after the first kilt.

When ordering premade sized kilts on line (like UK or AK) I have to do the tweaking.

My mistake when I first ordered my AKs was to buy three at once. I out grew them all at once too, but they've moved to a good home.

I liked my AKs and still liked the one I have that fits the fatter me. When I bought them I'd thought they'd be only for hiking but was very pleased to see how well they worked for an office kilt too.

And, in my opinion, AK still has the best deal on plain kilt belts. Quality made belts for sure. I have four...outgrew the first two too...
