I was under the impression that Ann Stewart was semi-retired from kilt making these days.

Left handed you say? Then there is hope for me after all. I'm going to have a go (this fall most likely) at trying to make a "real" kilt, following The Art of Kiltmaking, left-handed. Most likely, I'll just make the durn thing right handed, but it's good to hear there are other lefties out there tackling this.
Be well,

Be well,
I'm another lefty, so a post showing us what you learned would be great!

In a democracy it's your vote that counts; in feudalism, it's your Count that votes.

Correct. She closed her shop, but is still making kilts and selling tartan from home.

That's good to know. I've heard very good reviews of Ann Stewart's kilts and she lives practically right down the road from the boatshop where I work.

She made my tank. It's a work of art. Her website is www.kiltshop.com.
