Was at Ticonderoga later. Seth Brett III (aka Jr. since his grandfather died before he was born). DAR records say he was a Private from Winchester, N.H. and joined Capt Samuel Wrights Company, Colonel Nichol's Regiment of N.H. Militia, part of the Northern Army in 1776 and went to Ticonderoga to reinforce the fort there. DAR also says he helped defend against Burgoyne.

Don't know more than that. Suspect I may have had some folks on my Loyalist branch of my family tree at Ticonderoga too. A Private Adam Deal of Palatine German birth served in The King's Royal Regiment of New York in 1777. He lost his lands in Pownal, Vermont for choosing the wrong side to fight for.

    Fascinating times.

It is interesting that they built the Cairn like that. What was the reason they went with a design like that? Thanks for the photos. Very lovely surroundings and thanks for posting the dedication.
