    Welcome Davos!

Here's a link to a picture from another site demonstrating the position for garter flashes.

You might want to tighten the cuffs of your sleeves as well. You might need to move the button in closer. It will create a more poofy (if that's even a word) look above the wrists.

thank you all. Looking at the pictures again I guess that I am wearing the kilt a bit low and it probably would look better around the navel. I had no clue that I was wearing the flashes wrong so I appreaciatte the correction. I will say that the kilt is damned comfortable to wear and I think that after my wedding is done I will find myself pulling it out regularily.

Welcome to the board! I have just one suggestion. In your first picture it appears that the bottom of the under-apron is hanging a bit lower than the over-apron. Just pull it up a bit and you're good to go. Also, wearing the kilt higher like the others have suggested may help this too.

I'm going to echo Bradley's response, and just say "Welcome."

You'll find these folks to be genuine, friendly, and overall good people. Just hang around awhile, and you'll understand.

I noticed that too, but I think it is because the front apron is pulled up a bit above the sporran.

It looks like a nice kilt. Have a great wedding and welcome to xmarks.

Looking good. Welcome to the forum and the addiction.
And congratulations on the pending nuptiuals.

We're have a get together around Atlanta that day, we'll have to remember to have a toast in your honor. Maybe two. Three would be nice as well. :-)

    Davos,

From one newby to another, you look grand. OK, a couple of adjustments, but really that's small potatoes. I hope you are prepared for the addiction, I got my first kilt the 3rd week in June, and have already ordered 2 more, and have kilted one son and am working on kilting another.

Major congratulations on the pending wedding. May you and your bride ever grow together. My simple philosophy for a happy married life is...

"Happy Wife, Happy Life" If you put her first, and she puts you first, this is true wedded bliss.

    Cheers,
