It was either funny to you, or not. I don't think anybody is going to give it any more credibility than Groundkeeper Willie's statement about the sequins. It's not as if it was the Onion. But, heck, I'll quote it myself, I know that. At my age, I've heard such stories about "Scottish Traditions" that could only have come from leprechauns. This is no different.
By the way, it wasn't that funny to me but there you go.

I find it refreshing in a typical PC world. Some would enjoy searching around. Nothing is immune to satire. Sometimes it can be crass, off-colour and such other times some of the writing is downright brilliant. Although I found no reference to the Annual Toronto polar bear hunt it does poke fun at common misconceptions. Such as the British didn't invent the English language rater they stole it from the Americans and now use a dirivitive called "British Englsh". Dare I say that some of the humour is Churchillian.

Uncyclopedia is a satire site of Wikipedia and its just a way of pointing out the garbage information that runs rampant on Wikipedia. I found it quite funny actually, as did my wife and my 16 y.o. daughter. They got the point.
