What are the dimensions of the square fromed by the pink stripes? The reason I ask is that if the horizontal distance between them is less than 6 inches the pleats are likely to be relatively shallow (2 1/2" with a 1" reveal). I experience this with my Gordon Modern which is about 5 1/2 " between stripes. Still gives great swing, though, in part because it has about 35 pleats!

    Nice looking tartan, Robin.

I know you are a man who like many knife pleats but what about....

A box pleat kilt from MAtt that is pleated to the thin black stripe so the box pleat "hides" the thin pink stripe. I think it would look great to see hints of the pink stripe while walking or moving..."flashes" of color during movement

similar to KCW Xmarks box pleat kilt with the yellow stripe within the pleat.

    Cheers,

Can't wait to have a Dutch Tartan kilt myself!
Robin when it's done, post the kilt online because we (well I'am) curious how it's going to look like!

    Thanks for resurrecting this thread.

I have a couple lines of Dutch in my blood. One of them hopped aboard the Mayflower back in 1620...the other slipped into Philadelphia a hundred years later.

So, it goes on my list too.
