    New Dutch tartan

    Finally a nice Dutch tartan!

Designed by Loes Scholte and Lochcarron.

I think it's beautiful...another kilt on my ever growing wish list

The image seems to be a patchwork of several smaller images.
The tartan is called "Dutch Friendship Tartan"....it's a fashion tartan.

    Hi,

That is indeed a spectacularly beautiful tartan; would love to see a kilt made from it.

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.

That IS a fantastic tartan! You'll have to call Lochcarron immediately and get the yardage sent to your favorite kiltmaker immediately.

The Orange squares must be a tribute to the ruling house of the Netherlands.

    Lovely.

I like moist of it, but what does the pink line represent?

There several Dutch tartans, but this is the 1st really nice tartan

    Other Dutch tartans:

    Dutch District (district)
    Dutch Dress (district)
    Tartan of Holland (fashion)
    Veere (Dutch town/fashion)
    Dutch Mackay (family/clan/fashion)
And a couple of Dutch family tartans (restricted)

I'll visit the designer next week to get a swatch and to learn more about the tartan. The orange is obvious...Dutch royal family color. The pink most likely represents heather.

Pleated to the stripe for sure

The tartan will be available in December 13oz (16oz will be available in Januari/Februari)

I already (pre)ordered a 13oz 8 yards kilt and I hope it will be ready in time for the Burns Supper

I've a question...what's nicest...to the sett or to the stripe

This is how it will look to the stripe...
(I printed the tartan and folded it)

That's nice looking Robin. Will it be box or knife pleated? Oh, and I like to the stripe.
