It looks good, a bit reminiscent of some of the Irish tartans. There is no shortage of district tartans like this nowadays so nobody should be worried what to wear if they feel they don't have specific clan/Scottish connections.

Newsome did an awesome job on RR's kilt. We got together for my birthday in June, and Retro Red's Kilt was very sharp looking. To the trained eye you can definitely tell the difference in quality between the cheapy Irish National Tartan that I am wearing and the AZ Tartan that Red is wearing. It's a very earthy tartan, and the colors that Red wears with it definitely suit it.
Even to the untrained eye you could tell that his kilt was MUCH nicer than mine. Plus I always look a little off due to the missing tassel on my sporran.
