My dad's family once owned a bar in Roanoke.
His advice was to piss off a man before you piss off a woman, because the guys are more likely to fight over her than theirselves.
Strange. O_o
But I'm glad you stood your ground and made it clear she was rude. Her behavior makes me feel icky.

I did security around Roanoke for a few years. My rule was to avoid barfights at any cost. Most of those boys don't know how to fight, but they are so tough that skill really isn't a factor.
Actually that is a general policy. Have known fellows to have judges throw the book at them for a drunken scrap and that record haunts them forever.
I think we are lucky to have a representative like AnimalK who was able to act with class and defuse a situation that could have cast a dim light on us all.
A million drunks can punch out a million other drunks with virtually no major media attention. As soon as a guy in kilt injures some idiot who richly deserves it, prime time. And they will probably bring up every other 'kilted' offense they can.
Anybody remember the recent national attention for the couple attempting to propogate the species in M.N. apparently in a location and manner which displeased the locals? How about the poor old fellow who whimsically answered "the question' at the celtic festival.
How many couples get caught in the act? How many moonings get national coverage? Kilted for some reason means newsworthy.
At least in this case, our man was trustworthy.

My wife could easily be described as a "Biker chick", and she is definitely NOT shy... she would never do something as tasteless as that. Most motorcyclists (I know) wouldn't. Most of us just want to have a good time... not bother anyone, nor be bothered.
Perldog hit the nail on the head: You know the old saying: "Instant A**hole, just add alcohol".
Sounds like you ran into a "fair-weather-biker", struttin' his stuff, with his wannabe floozy.
You played it well... regardless of whatever bar you were in... you had a right to not be bothered.
