First Online Kilt Bought... Now I wait...

Aye, There are times when I wish for a closet of handmade wool kilts in proper tartans. Heading out the door to toss around boxes of sattelite dishes and bags of concrete is not one of those times.

SWK lets me wear nice plaids for work. And around the yard, the mall, and a bunch of other places you would not want to risk your high dollar tank.

Hey, Ayin, on that SS plaid, is that an assymetrical sett, or just a really large sett that you haven't shown completely? Just curious, as I am currently considering making a traditional kilt, using The Art of Kiltmaking and I know there are some difficulties in working with assymetrical tartans and tartans with very wide setts.

In the center of the plaid where the two yellow lines intersect and is outlined with the green and then the white, is the center of the pattern. It would reset at the edge of the jpg. I'm not an expert at this but for me i would have to order a swatch before i commited to wanting this as a plaid. I like it alot, but it might not look right once it's actually on wool. If i order a swatch of this, i'll take a picture of it, to compare how it looks.

P.S. I'm still waiting for my kilt I ordered on the 17th to be delivered... I got an email on Sunday saying that it would be shipped on the next business day, so i'm hoping i get it today! I just hope i get it by Friday though, because i have an occasion that i would like to wear it to. I hear that SWK ships quickly so, i'm not really worried. I'll put faith in the shipping system.
