    Kilt Mart?

Has anyone here bought a kilt from Kilt Mart? I am considering buying one of their hand-sewn kilts in Pride of Scotland tartan. What did you think of the kilt?

I have one from Kilt-Mart on the way.
DHL tracking says it should be here Tuesday.
    Will keep you posted.

I have two Kiltmart Kilts, One with Fly Plaid. They are great! Feels just like soft wool, and, also the most comfortable to wear. Enjoy!

I tried to visit their retail store in Phoenix, but they only open by appointment. Alas. I'll probably pick up one of their kilts by mail order before too long, and I'll write a review.

Me and both my brothers have a kilt from Kilt Mart. They are decent kilts for what you pay. It's definitely nice to be able to avoid the shipping and handling charge and just buy them from the shop, but as MacDougall said they are by appointment only, so you have to call first. The only word of warning i have it be careful with the belt straps, if you pull evenly slightly too hard they rip right off.

I'll take a look at the straps. That's a problem that can be prevented, more than likely, with a few more stitches, and a backing piece of leather, if necessary.

As it turns out, they have a few more rules than "call ahead." They don't do same-day calls, and they don't do weekends, at all, at all. I thought it was a little silly that the lady was saying she couldn't promise to be there when I showed up, because of her drive time across the Valley -- I, after all, was coming from Flagstaff, which is a little further away then her commute. But, y'know, whatever. Her rules are, at least one day's prior notice, and no weekends.

I have a kilt from KiltMart in Hunting Stewart.

It was around $75.00. It is good enough for day wear, but not for high formal.

It is a good "starter" kilt, although there is equal quality for less $$ available.

Keep looking - Ask questions - Make your choice - Buy the kilt!

    Tell us about it!

That's so silly. You'd think she'd want the business. I've personally never been to the shop, but both my brother's have. They said it's not really a "store" per say. It's more of a corner of a pawnshop, or something like that. It might just be better for you to order online, rather than drive down from Flagstaff, and risk her not even showing up.
