I'm not entirely convinced of that. I'm not advocating the antipersonal aspect of knives, but there are all sorts of things a nice, sharp blade is handy for. I have a folder I carry in my sporran, and I rarely go a week without using it. Shouldn't a knife I carry in my sock have at least the same utility value?
