    quick detour, this is the bad press picture of Billy the Kid. He's an interesting study and there is a fair bit of debate on how bad he really was, if he was at all. Anyway, there is another picture of him in a suit and he looks like a young minister type.

    Exact same thing happened to me today only the kid thought it was a pirate hat and never noticed the kilt.
