Here is what we have been thinking about these jackets.

    1. The cost of the jacket will be in the $300.00cdn range but as most of that is in the labor and there are so many people asking about fabrics other than Donegal Tweed we think it only fair to say that the labor is a set price plus the cost of the fabric of your choice.
Just as we do with our Tartan Kilts it allows each one to request their favorite fabric and we will order it when you order your jacket.

    2. The jackets will be offered in a stock size range. ie S, M, L, XL, Hagrid. Then you will be able to specify short, med and long. You will be able to request 1, 2, or 3 buttons from a stock selection similar to what we do with our Cargo and Casual Model Kilts.

    3. We will not be offering these as a totally custom jacket. There will be options as above, but some people will be disappointed. Remember, we are a small shop and our first job is kilts. There is no way we can do totally custom made jackets too.

    4. I am having trouble with my web site as many of you have noticed. I just dropped a couple of grand and the site doesn't work. So I'm out the money and it seems I will need to start from scratch. Until we have the site up and running again the jackets will be available only through phone or e-mail.

    5. Please don't expect us to be ready to accept orders for at least a month. There is still a lot of pattern work still to do. The three jackets we have so far are all one size. There are still four more sizes to work out.

    6. I'm glad everyone likes the jacket. I tried, as I did with the Kilt Shirt, to create something that no one else offers. I tried to create something that I would want to wear, everyday, that was not a costume. Just think how many threads there have been asking for just this style of jacket. And I wanted something of very high quality. I'm really proud with how well they turned out.

    7. I'll post pictures of the Gray jacket in about three or four days.

I'll wait. The timing appears to be great for a Christmas present to myself. Somehow I see a ferry trip in my future!

Very nice, I did not think a three button would work. It does look smashing however.

O frabjous day! (If that's a good thing, if not, never mind the "frabjous" part.) Loving the jackets, Wiz. We're getting antsy, but that'll just make the jackets that much more appreciated.

Very nice look. But has anyone come up with something other than the sporran chain? There has to be something better. Anyone?
