I used to do a lot of ballroom dancing and have seen a few pictures on this forum of people dancing at weddings with their sporrans between themselves and their partners.
If you are going to hold a woman in your arms to dance, you really should slide your sporran round over your hip so that it does not get in the way or interfere with your partners dress.
